07/21/2024 4:08 am Sunday I was in this old cinder block hotel. It wasn't a room I was in. It was more like an open area the size of rooms but there was an elongated window in front of me. Almost like a library. In this room I was looking through the drawers and I thought it was my room. I was making sure that I was taking all of my stuff because I was getting ready to leave. But there was like old money, like it was fake, but not like it was recognized money. It was more like handwritten but it could have been real. I thought it was mine. I took it and I took some other money too then a couple other things that I thought were mine. I put it in an old wallet that I had. It was a thin wallet and there was like a folded over $10 bill kind of in there that's been there a while, with some other money that was folded up there. Well, I was sitting at that table or whatever it was where I was taking my items, Mike came in. (my brother, I have never dreamed of him before.) I was trying to get him some help. So I was pulling out that money I had and I had like a wallet then there was that other money that I wasn't sure if it was money or not. I decided to keep that money and I didn't want to give it to Mike because I didn't want him to have money that wasn't real that he couldn't use. I was getting ready to leave and the minister came out. He was a poor minister. He had kind of thick stringy black hair and disheveled a bit like he was older but he wasn't, more like he was disparaged. He had his head down, tall build. I think his daughter was sick. Maybe I reminded him of his daughter. I think it was at his daughter's table that I thought was mine. I didn't know that though. He was kind of exasperated that I was leaving and he said, “ you know I've got some food here for you.” He said, "Here take this food with you, I’ve got food, here take food with you.” When he realized what I was driving, He kind of looked at the chair and knew I couldn't take it. He was exasperated to see what I was driving. He kind of stood there with his arms opened at his side and his palms facing up like just really exasperated. He really wanted to give me food. But it was like they didn’t have food for themselves, yet he was offering me food. He Looked at the chair and knew I couldn't take it. He was kind of disappointed and sad. But he really wanted me to take it and I think he kind of had feelings for me in a way. Then it kind of morphed into my brother Mike and I've never dreamed about him before. It's kind of pleasant and I was trying to get him some help. Then he opened the cellar door but it was on the side of the building in the back and it was wooden. He went to the cellar area and the door was thin. You wouldn’t know there was a door there if you didn't know. I think it was kind of like the 1930, 1940’s era. “I have food that I've had for 2 years.” It was like he had been collecting food. I was kind of hem-hawing around with him, because I was a little perplexed. Where was I going to put this food? Then I remember going down the street and it was dark at night. I didn't have a car and I didn't realize I didn't have a car. I had like an old metal chair, not the modern ones, the old ones with a wooden seat and it was green and it had the heavy metal legs on it and it was sort of like a sleigh legs but they only went forward not backwards, it also had a motor on it. I was thinking. “Well I don't really drive this thing at night but I've got to get home and I live all the way in the South City.” I think I was all the way in North County so it was quite a distance. So I'm riding on it and sitting on it and going down the road. I didn't really notice any bumps or bumpy areas like you would when you were driving. it was more like I was just kind of gliding down the street. I was thinking nobody could see me. I don't have headlights or anything like that. but I just kept going.
This dream seems to be a reflection of your feelings of navigation and preparation in your waking life. The old cinder block hotel symbolizes a familiar but outdated aspect of your life. The open area you were in, resembling a library, may represent a space where you seek knowledge or guidance.
The money you found in the drawers may symbolize resources or potential opportunities that you feel uncertain about. Your hesitation to give the money to your brother Mike could suggest a fear of providing inadequate help or support to those around you.
The poor minister with food to offer may represent a figure in your life who is trying to help or support you in some way, even though they may be lacking resources themselves. His gesture of offering you food could symbolize a desire to nourish and care for you, perhaps emotionally or spiritually.
The wooden cellar door and the vintage era suggest hidden or forgotten aspects of yourself or your past. The food that the minister had been collecting for years may indicate long-standing emotional or spiritual sustenance that is available to you if you are willing to accept it.
Your journey home on the old metal chair with a motor signifies a sense of moving forward despite limitations or obstacles. You may be feeling a sense of vulnerability or exposure in your current circumstances, symbolized by the lack of headlights on the chair.
Overall, this dream may be urging you to consider the resources and support available to you, even in unexpected or unconventional ways. It may also be prompting you to reflect on your own ability to navigate challenges and uncertainties with resilience and grace.
